According to a 2019 Ausplay report, around 250,000 people aged over 15 participate in martial arts. While martial arts are popular for improving physical health, mental wellbeing, self-confidence, discipline and social skills, they also have the second-highest reported injury rate, with about 16% of participants injured in 2022.
All those epic battles can lead to injuries that Medicare, private health insurance or travel insurance don’t necessarily cover in full. The financial pain can hurt more than the injury itself.
Combat sports are great for your physical and mental health, and if you’re training or competing with Flip activated and get an injury that we cover, we give you a set cash payout for eligible claims, mostly within one business day.
Understanding what you’re covered for can be overwhelming, and sometimes you don’t realise until after something's gone wrong that you might have a lot of costs to pay.
We've created injury cover for martial arts accidents that's easy to understand, with no complicated add-ons or hidden catches.
