Registration Instructions for Parents of Under-18 Participants
When registering cover for a child under 18, the main Flip account must be opened by the parent or legal guardian. This is simply because only a parent or guardian is legally authorised to submit a claim for a minor.
- Download the Flip Insurance app
- Select 'Register with an Event Code'
- Create a parent account for yourself
- Click 'Event registration'
- Add your kid/s details and click 'Continue'
- Enter your Event Code emailed to you by the Policy Owner
- You're all set to view your cover details or claim if you get injured
How to claim if you're covered

If your team, venue, or event has a Group Active Policy, then you’re automatically covered. We pay you cash directly to your bank account on approved claims, to spend however you want.
How much do we pay?
If you have an eligible accidental injury, the payout amount is based on the Benefits available on your cover. You can view the full list of benefits and payout amounts available on your cover on the Flip Insurance mobile app once you've registered your Event Code.

How much is Group Active cover if I’m a participant?
You don’t need to pay anything because the Policy Owner (E.g. Event Organiser) bought it on your behalf.
How do I access my cover details?
You’re automatically covered, but we suggest you download the Flip Insurance app and register with the Event Code sent to you by the Policy Owner. You will be able to see your cover details in the app and be ready to go if you need to claim. It takes about two minutes.
How do I know when my cover starts and ends?
You’ll be able to get details of your cover starts and ends in the Flip Insurance app using the Event Code that the Policy Owner emailed you.
I have cover for an event but can I buy extra cover for additional days?
Yes, you can purchase cover for additional days (e.g. trainings, a race, other activities, a trip, etc.) via the Flip Insurance app. Your dashboard will show your Flip Group Active cover as well as any other extra cover you purchase.
