Flip Dental is a prepaid dental voucher provided by Flip Insurance Pty Limited (Flip) that provides access to a preventative care dental check-up at HCF Dental Centres across Australia. It is designed to make essential preventative dental care affordable with no surprise costs at the time of treatment.
1.1 What’s Included?
Each Flip Dental voucher entitles the holder to a Flip Dental Total Check-up, which includes the following services:
- Comprehensive dental check-up
- Removal of calculus through a scale and clean
- Application of fluoride
- Two Intraoral (Bitewing) X-rays

By purchasing a Flip Dental voucher, you accept that these terms and conditions apply to the voucher and, with the voucher, form the whole agreement between Flip and yourself.
2.1 Flip Dental vouchers are available for individuals aged 18 years and over.
2.2 Vouchers are prepaid, single-use, and non-transferable.
2.3 Upon payment of the full purchase price, Flip will send you a digital voucher.
2.4 Flip Dental is not available for HCF members with Extras cover or anyone with private health insurance cover for preventative dental services with another health insurance provider.
Note: If you are already an HCF member with Extras or hold preventative dental cover with another health insurance provider, you are not eligible for Flip Dental, as you already receive dental cover.
3.1 Booking an Appointment
- Purchase a Flip Dental voucher.
- Call your preferred HCF Dental Centre and book a Flip Dental appointment.
- At the time of your appointment, present your voucher by scanning the activation code via the Flip Insurance mobile app.
- Success! Your Flip Dental voucher has now been redeemed.
3.2 Voucher Usage
3.2.1 Vouchers must be presented at an HCF Dental Centre at the time of service.
3.2.2 Each voucher covers the included services at no additional cost.
3.2.3 Vouchers are non-refundable, including if you choose to only use some of the Flip Dental Total Check-up services, and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative services.
3.2.4 Lost or stolen vouchers will not be reissued.
3.2.5 Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and must be used within this period.
4. Appointment & Service Availability
4.1 Appointments are subject to availability at HCF Dental Centres. You should book your appointment early, and at least 8 weeks before the voucher’s expiry, to ensure you obtain a suitable time within the voucher's validity period.
4.2 Flip Dental does not guarantee appointment times or specific dentists.
4.3 Any additional treatments beyond the covered services will be quoted separately and are payable by the patient.
5. Voucher Validity & Expiry
5.1 Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
5.2 Vouchers that have not been used, including because you did not book an appointment at least 8 weeks before the voucher’s expiry, do not roll over beyond the 12-month validity period.
5.3 A new voucher should be purchased for each future check-up.
6. Consumer Rights, Changes & Cancellations
6.1 Flip Dental complies with Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Refunds or remedies may apply if services are not as advertised.
6.2 Flip reserves the right to modify the services provided under Flip Dental with prior communication to customers.
6.3 If Flip discontinues services provided under Flip Dental, eligible refunds will be issued in line with ACL.
6.4 Flip may suspend or void a voucher if misuse, fraud, or non-compliance is detected.
7. General Terms & Exclusions
7.1 Flip Dental is not private health insurance and does not qualify for health insurance rebates.
7.2 Flip Dental Total Check-up does not cover emergency, cosmetic or specialist treatments.
7.3 HCF Dental Centres provide all dental services. Flip is not responsible for the quality of treatment received and excludes all liability arising from the provision of those services. Any concerns should be directed to the treating HCF Dental Centre.
7.4 Flip Dental vouchers are governed by Australian law.
8. Privacy
8.1. Flip is committed to best practice privacy collection. We collect your personal information, including sensitive information such as health information, from you and from other third parties detailed in the Flip Privacy Policy, so we can:
(a) comply with applicable laws;
(b) manage our relationship with you;
(c) provide information and offers on life insurance and other products and services to you (including through third parties);
(d) manage and pay claims and provide benefits;
(e) assess your life insurance, health and related needs;
(f) investigate fraudulent or improper claims and assess risks;
(g) research and develop products, services and benefits that may better serve your needs and objectives;
(h) assess your possible interest in and tell you about other HCF products and services; and(i) administer our business and manage complaints.
8.2 The types of organisations and individuals we disclose personal information to include:
(a) third party organisations who deliver services on our behalf or to us, some of whom may be located overseas;
(b) research companies contracted to us to ask your opinion on improving our service, benefits or product offerings;
(c) other insurers or reinsurers;
(d) government, including law enforcement agencies;
(e) related HCF companies; and
(f) any other authorised individual.
8.3 We may provide HCF with your personal data for the purposes of providing the products and services. More information about HCF’s handling of your personal data can be found at: hcf.com.au/privacy
8.4 If you don’t provide the personal information we request, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services. You can ask us at any time to stop direct marketing to you by logging in to the Flip website (flipinsurance.com.au) and changing your Marketing settings or by emailing help@getflip.com.au.
