Get fast cash payouts to help with recovery for eligible cycling injuries with cover for a day, a season or your whole club.

There is no legal requirement to hold insurance as a cyclist in Australia, but cycling insurance is worth considering if you want some financial protection for accidental injuries while cycling.
Cycling is one of the most popular activities in Australia, with an estimated 2.1 million people aged 15 and over taking a ride in 2023-24. It carries a high risk of injury and caused 14,200 hospitalisations that year.
Medicare, private health and travel insurance can cover many health related costs, but you can still have unforeseen expenses as you recover. The financial pain can hurt more than the injury itself.
If you’re on a ride with Flip activated and get an injury that we cover, we give you a set cash payout for eligible claims, mostly within a few business days.
Flip’s cycling insurance is accidental injury cover. It pays you cash if you have an eligible injury from a cycling accident. It's not bike insurance (which covers damage or theft of your bike). It covers you.
For injuries within Australia and New Zealand, even with Medicare and private health insurance you can still be left with out of pocket uncovered health related costs. You’ll receive a Flip cash payout on approved claims for eligible accidental injuries. We’ll pay cash directly to you and you can use it however you want.
The best cycling insurance for you depends on where and how often you ride. We can’t tell you what cover to buy, but here are some general guidelines to help you decide. Always read our PDS to see if Flip is right for you.
Get cover for cycling injuries from one day to a full year, depending on how often you ride.
